The Mardi Himal Trek is Nepal's rising star—a short but stunning journey that delivers incredible mountain views without the crowds. Following a scenic ridge trail to the base of Mardi Himal (5,587m), you'll witness Machapuchare (Fishtail) from angles few tourists ever see. This relatively new trail is perfect for trekkers with limited time who still want an authentic Himalayan experience. Expect pristine rhododendron forests, traditional Gurung villages, and some of the best Annapurna views anywhere.

Short drive from Pokhara to Kande. Begin the trek through terraced fields and oak forests. Deurali offers first views of Machapuchare.
Climb through dense rhododendron forest (spectacular in spring). The trail is steep but shaded. Simple teahouses in a forest clearing.
The forest thins as you gain altitude. Emerge onto the ridge with breathtaking views of Machapuchare and Annapurna South. High Camp has basic facilities.
Early start for the climb to Upper Viewpoint/Base Camp. Stand on the ridge with 360° views of Machapuchare, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, and Mardi Himal. Descend to High Camp or Low Camp.
Descend via an alternative route through Siding village. Experience traditional Gurung hospitality. The descent is steep but scenic.
Final descent through villages and farmland. A short drive returns you to Pokhara's lakeside for well-deserved rest.
Well-established trail with good teahouse network. Moderate altitude. Trail can be slippery after rain. Some sections are steep and exposed.
